About

I'm a frontend engineer in Campo Grande, Brazil, and for the past ten years I've worked on eSaniagro, the system Mato Grosso do Sul uses to manage animal and plant health. More than 90,000 people use it, from office staff to inspectors out in the field.

Those inspectors are the reason I care so much about offline-first. They work in rural areas where there's usually no signal, so the React Native apps I built keep everything on the device and sync when they're back in range. Moving that work off paper took inspection processing from up to seven days down to one.

Most of my day is React, React Native and TypeScript, but I also work on the .NET APIs and SQL Server databases behind them. Knowing how the data actually behaves makes the interface a lot easier to get right.

    Senior Software Engineer · Mil Tec

    Allocated to the Government of Mato Grosso do Sul, building the web and mobile side of its agricultural defense platforms.

    • Shipped two offline-first React Native apps, eVIGI@GRO and Transportador, using Realm as the local source of truth and syncing pending records when connectivity returns.
    • Fixed concurrency problems in the offline layer, including Realm transactions left open and a race condition at startup.
    • Upgraded the public services portal from Angular 15 to 22 one version at a time, without pausing releases.
    • Cut load times by up to 40% and built monitoring with proactive alerts.
